Unhappy The Frozen Throne

Hi, I need to backup TFT but I can't go over the protection.

I have Alcohol 120% 1.4.3.518 and an Iso backup of my Cd (retail). What kind of protection is it ?

Someone have found how to run a backup of TFT ?

Argh I too just bought TFT from the local EB. As I have a bad habit of fumbling cd's often the first thing I want to do is back it up. Well, I've made an image using the image wizard in Alcohol 120% (most recent build) of the original CD. I then go to dupe it with the burn image wizard. When I choose Securerom NEW 4.x I get the following error:

No RMPS info in the source, you are not able to make a copy using this datatype!

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

What about CloneCD?

I have CloneCD 4, and I haven't figured out how to backup my copy of "WC3: The Frozen Throne." Has anybody sucessfully done this yet? I have burned 4 coasters so far (and counting!) I'm hoping I'll figure it out myself eventually, but so far, no go.

I have used the SecurRom profile for CloneCD by the way. I have not however used the 'Lite-On' version of this profile that I have seen floating around somewhere... no telling if it will work or not though.

Any help is useful! Thanks!

I got it going with Alcohol 120% by creating an ISO image of the cd and then burning it with the RMPS option enabled under emulators and choosing securerom 4.x as the datatype. It works, but the only place I can read the CD from is on my workstation with the Alcohol emulator.

Hope this helps

It's work for me now, i don't create a Iso image but a "Securom New 4.*" image (.mds by default). I d'ont burn the image, simply use it with Alcohol or DTools.

Are you sure your Cd's (retail) is ok ? Have you got a latest Alcohol version ? Due to a pefect Securom copy, you don't need to emulate "securom". You can activate emulation, nothing change (all activate for me). You also can try with deamon tools (it's work).
