I Want a mod chip

Ok, i realize this has flamebait written all over it.

But the more i serach and read, the more confused i get.

So i'm asking my questions here anyway in the hopes of getting some solid advice.

I have an original v1.0 xbox

I wanna play movies and backups.

I have a home network with linksys router.

1) Whats the absolute BEST mod chip to get? Xecuter 2.2 Pro?
Or is the pro needless and a lite will suffice?

2) Wher can i purchase this in the US? (the sites ive found want ya to order 3 or more at a time!)

3) What hard drive to get for my xbox?

4) Anywhere i can order the hd and chip together?

So after i do my mods, i will be able to transfer "files" to my xbox from my pc and execute them...right?

No need for any help with install/flashing info , i've read MANY tuturials and that info is easy to find.

Its deciding on the best hardware to get thats holdin me up.

Don't wanna buy something and AS i'm using it, realize i bought the wrong chip!

PM's and flames welcome.. LOL

Congratulations on being today's laziest bastard. This thread looks more like a "Top Ten Noobs Questions List" than asking for help after trying to solve your problems yourself.

Maybe you should add "Where do I get Evox and (your game here) " to really complete it.

BTW: i have no need to ask about evox, i can read stickies.

Just wanna be sure i get the right hardware.

xbox v 1.0 120 gb hd matrix.
xbox v 1.1 120 gb hd matrix.
xbox v 1.1 x-ecuter v 1.0.
xbox v 1.0 virgin unmodded.
xbox v 1.1 cheap mod.
What the heck ya doin with all those xboxes?

Ok, let me rephrase my questions.. LOL

Does this seem like a good start for an xbox v1.0 setup?
Xecuter 2.2 Pro
Maxtor or Seagate 7200rpm hdd

And any suggestions from reputable sites to order from in the US?

Well Dude, I know you understand so I won't even say...(you know I gotta be the Darth Maul around here)

mtdew needs to understand some things though
1. bump the crap outta this thread if it makes you feel better - this forum rarely has a full page of new posts in a day anyway

2.if you can read so well you shouldn't have problems finding answers to these simple questions

3. yeah, we know - your problem is as important as world peace TO YOU but most people on this forum have heard these questions whined 100,000 times and after about 10,000 or so get tired of them

Agreed, its my oversight that regulars on this forum are tired of seeing these questions asked over and over...

did searches on words.. buy (cant do it), purchase and modchip (that returned just about everything here..LOL)

So it didnt help me much...
so i braved it and asked...
Knowing i was gonna need a flamesuit!
My bad.

Currenlty making an xbox favorite folder trying to gather as much info as possible.

http://www.xboxtutorials.cjb.net/

http://teamxecuter.com/

http://www.system-mods.com/

http://www.xboxmediaplayer.de/newweb/news_latest.php

etc.. etc...

was kinda hopin to get maybe a pM with a good deal on where to get hardware maybe...

well JT you can be darth maul but i'm vader.

now mtdew you'r prospective setup sounds ok. you can use just about any mod chip on a v 1 box but i would recomend matrix or executer as you want to install a larger HD. as for suppliers i'm in jolly old england as stated under my name ! so i can't help on that score.

now i gota go and spit roast me some more noobs.

One of these days Jive is going to make the front page,

Some day in the future,

(Insert name here) was found today in his home with the better part of his home computer set up down his throat. It seems that as yet real name unknown but in the world of the internet society Jive Turkey, was boiling at the seems with the annoyance of newbs. The newb is a term used for those just entering the area where most are seniors in this case it was XBox modding. To date this is the first case we are aware of newbie manslaughter. On the screen of the victims computer was this phrase, " read the damn stickies"

Bill Gates was quite adamant that those who mod there XBoxes are merely criminals away and that this should a clear warning for those thinking of doing this kind of activity to stay on the right path and leave your XBoxs alone. Sony's CEO stated this is the clear result of using the wrong console and advised to keep buying the PS2 we are almost at a billion.

We will keep you updated as we now turn the focus on to just who is this turkey??

Your the best Jive man
