I need help plezz

Hi guys i hav a magic 3.1
whenevr i put a dvd backup and press reset
The game starts with a screaching noise for a second
When i play the game and take the DVD out
Its full of scratches
I dont know wat the problem is
But it is damaging my DVD life
Pleez tell me wat can i do to avoid scratches
