gamecube copies - worth the bother ???

Well, it's all very interesting I suppose, but . . .given the gear you would need to burn a disc and the mod you would possibly need -would it be all worth the effort?

I bought a Cube two weeks ago and so far I've picked up Rogue Leader for £8, Starfox Adventures and Wave Race for £12 each. All second hand in good condition with manuals etc. I can also get Mario Sunshine for £12 and Luigis Mansion for 10.

In a coupla months I'll no doubt be able to pick up Zelda and Metroid Prime for £20 or less.

Unlike the PS2, there are nothing like the quantity of games available - so I think the average Cube user would find, maybe, ten or twelve games that they would really like to play. At the prices I've mentioned - and I'm sure secondhand games are much the same price everywhere - I'd be quite happy to have used originals and not have to worry about all the fart-on with copies.

What do you reckon . . . . ????

Yeah, okay smartarse. I'm one of the PS2 crowd with 450+, but I ain't bragging about it.

If you'd bothered to read the post properly I'm saying that there aren't that many decent Cube games to get. I mean would YOU wanna be playing stuff you've already seen on PS2 ??

My argument is . . .why go to the hassle of spending a fortune (possibly) making backups when second-hand originals of the good games are so cheap . . . .

. . .Geddit ????????

maybe because..
people like collecting games..
and backing up you can have the whole set of.. game
instead of a 1/4 of games you will have if you get them originals..
like you said.. it´s ok.. that they r cheap..
but..

10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10= lot of $$$

backing up more cheaper..
plus you have a little of fun modding and all that stuff
it depends on the taste of the gamer.. and people..

I'm not knocking it, StartingLine. I'm an obsessive collector myself. All I'm saying is that if the price of backing up GameCube stuff becomes too excessive (if it can ever be done at all) it ain't all bad news because used GameCube games are relatively cheap and quite a lot of them have been done on PS2 etc anyway.

The ****head who answered my first post obviously thought I was advocating buying originals habitually, instead of backing-up.

Stupid boy . . .!!!!!!!

****head ppl as like u talk about buying originals. Do ppl back up DC games on a GDROM? If they do, that's got be a fortune for u to buy. The same thing for GC, it's just a matter of time.

How in the world do u know how much a backup GC game is since it even hasn't been out yet.

Just wait for the day, dude...
