ogm file not recognized by windows

ive recently got some ogm video files which are the next best thing to divx with mp3 audio. i dont wanna get into that right now but ogm are encoded with the xvid codec and with the ogg vorbis codec for audio. i tried to play it on my windows media player but it wont recognize it. so then i loaded it up in gspot and it said i didnt have a ogg vorbis codec. i thought if i had dbpoweramp installed i would be fine sense i have installed the ogg vorbis codec on this software. so i was wondering what application bundle do i need to install the ogg vorbis codec cause i did a search on the net and ive seen alot of tools, encoders, etc. and i dont wanna download things that are not necessary just the ones that i need to run this ogm file extension. or do i need to install another type of media player to play ogm format? any help is appreciated
