Power Calibration Error

Ok...........I am backup up multiple copies of dvd games and movies and I have run into a snag..... I started getting a power calibration error every once in a while and now I get it all of the time. I bought some Princo 4X and they worked great for the first 200 I bought....Now when I use Nero, sometimes I get this error. I tried burning them at 2x and they worked fine, but at 4x they bomb sometimes, but it never gets to the write part. So I am not ruining discs...Has anyone had this happen? The burner is my Cendyne 105. I really only get this doing movie backups so far, but I assume it would happen for Ps2 games also. Sorry for posting this here, but I figured...This is where the really smart people are....hehe....Really.....

I have never had a problem burning at high speeds, but I have sen that my PS2 does not like the Princo's as much as the Riteks. I figure I better go back to the dark purple.

Any suggestions are helpful

Later

I’ve seen many people fixing this problem by simply cleaning the laser.
Others by just reinstalling Nero or drive it self under device manager, and make sure you got the latest aspi drivers (4.60, I think).

They have ASPI 4.7 but stay away from it as it is real buggy.
