Question PS2 back ups with out mod ? possible ?

hi, wondering if possible for a PS2 to play a backup with out a mod ?? have tried some kind of boot up disk, but didnt read up, wondering if ever was a successful way to play without a mod with a back up.

There is a mechanical method using a knife shoved into the guts of the PS2 to force a tray swap; this is used in conjunction with a boot disk like Action Replay 2.

There is also the mod (in a different sense from what you probably meant) - this is a flip-top cover that replaces the PS2 case top. Works better than shoving a knife in but the method has playing/booting limitations.

Basically forget it.

1. It is a tedious way to get back-ups to work.#

2. It will reduce the lifespan of yr ps2.

3. It doesn't work on all back-ups ( as charlie said!)

The best way is to get a no swap mod. There r loads on the market so invest in one and give urself a break!
