What program to author?

I need some help!! When I use Ulead Movie Factory to write a downloaded file to DVD, it plays all jittery in my DVD player. I used VOB instant CD/DVD and it worked great, but my trial expired and I can't buy the whole version as it sounds like the company has went out of business. Is there anything similar? I tried Nero, but it won't play in our Pioneer DVD player. What about Primo DVD or Record Now Max? Thanks!

Sorry! I actually downloaded soccer clips from different games. I had a tonne of different goals and stuff and not actual movies. I found their quality wasn't very good and I was better off to buy the movies previously viewed. Any help with the regular video clips?
