Final Fantasy 9 Problem On Ps2

Hi.I have a serious problem making a backup for final fantasy 9.Here's the thing: I've used clone cd 4.2.0.2 copying all 4 discs from an original FF9 PAL copy.Discs 1,2,3 work fine,FMV'S all work perferct and generally there are no glitches or problems whatsoever.The problem appears on disc 4.At the end of cd 4 just after the final boss while on the end game sequence the game stops always at a specific point.It's an F.M.V. showing an airsip landing.I'm playing the game on a PAL PS 2.My ps2 makes a sound like it's having trouble reading the disc.I copied disc 4 using various settings with clone cd,alcohol120% and Blindwrite suite.All copies have the same problem:The game works fine until I reach the point of this specific FMV.It then stops (just before the FMV starts) and this weird sound is heard.The original FF9 disc 4 works with no problems whatsoever.I used it to see the whole ending sequence and it worked perfectly up until the end.So far i've made 6 backups of disc 4 with different copy programs but the result is always the same.Can someone PLEASE help me?

There might be a scratch on your original. Check near the outer edge of the burn since it is at the end of the game. You might also want to try cleaning the disc with soap and warm water.
