the sims !

can anybody help me

i got an original the sims and have been trying to install my original House Party expansion c.d/ but it keeps crashing after i click the install icon !

i got a patch from the maxim site but it doesn't help

anyone got any ideas ?

original discs are mark The sims 2000
original House Party 2001 ( incase that helps on updates !)

Are you using a crack for the original sims when you try to install House Party ? Maybe the install program (which is really a patching program) chokes on it ? If you don't, it looks like this is more a problem for Maxis, try asking your question on their web board. thesims.ea.com

have tried with patch and without.
The sims it self plays fine,but trying to install house party it stalls at the set up screen,then gives me the blue screen of death !

Could be that your CD needs to be cleaned or is scratched if it use to work before and now it does not.
