Dummy files ???

How can I identify a dummy file ?
Is the .dat file ?
In my GigaWings 2, there is a 000A.dat file, 190Mb of size.
If he is the dummy file, and I delete him, this will screw the game ?

A dummy file will usually be very large in size, at least 100MB but can be any size. They are used to help the game load faster since when you burn the game all the files will have a different location on the disc than the original game.

Dummy files can have any extension. But most Dreamcast ISO's out there have them with a .DAT extension. They are NOT required in order for the game to work, so you can delete it if you want but I suggest you include it.

If you want to find dummy files fast on your game, just arrange the icons by size, most likely the last one will be the dummy file. If it is a dummy file, you can open it with a text viewer such as Notepad. It will have some numbers depending on the size on the dummy file.

You can try WinISO, but that only works for single session ISO's.

Darkfalz is on a distinguished road
I put a very good tutorial on dummying on my site (in the tutorial page of the sorttxt section). You can even make these invisible if you want (use my tool in software section if not using a sort).

You wouldn't want to get rid of them, if anything, if you're going to repack a game you want to make the dummy as big as possible. In my guide you can find how to make it to the last sector.

Good luck... and yep, dummys are typically named 000*.DAT because that puts them first in the file system (most of the time). I recommend using 0.0 for your dummy name.
