Problems with laser on DC
Does anyone know where I can get a new laser for my Dreamcast because my DC keeps on restarting all the time when the games load up!! And also how much does it cost to replace?

Hi there....
Well its a kinda bad problem you got there. BUt what i recomend you to do is either mail someone at Sega and explain to em your problem, and maybe they will point a few fingers where you can turn. another solution might be if you go down to your local game shop where they sell dc and Games. I think you should be able to order a new lazer via em. Not sure Sorry about that lazer dude Good luck

Call the guys at Sega. The Ph# is 1-800-USA-SEGA. I helped a friend that had more or less the same problem. We call and they gave us the address to were to send the DC. In these days, my friend will be receiving his DC fixed with no charges, just when you shipped the DC to them. Try it!

if the game is restarting on original games...then you have a problem..if it is on copied games, with self loading tech..then it is just a bad burn, and needs to be redone at a slower speed. if you are loading a non self boot game and you hear the gears sound like they are grinding, then you need to add a dummy file to the game to push it out to the edge of the cd.
