i have used many brands, even cheap crappy ones when i had to. most will work fine. i recommend tdk ot verbatim but at the mo im using nugen and their ok too. DONT use cds with a crappy silver top cos the laser cant reflect properly and they suck. you get what you pay for really. dont pay to much though. try this site they sell all brands, nice prices.

i don't like those silver tops either, they tend to get scapped easily.
i have been using fuji's 50 paks that i have been getting for $20 plus $10 rebate. also prime peripherals 80 min 50 paks are $20 and $10 rebate at office max. tdk's not made in taiwan.

tdk's that are made in taiwan are riteks. tdk subcontracts them to make tdk cdr's.

I thought Taiyo Yuden of Japan made TDK? I know that Ritek are the largest cdr manufacturer.
