Are these the original discs that freeze your pc ? Is the second disc readable in your pc ? Try manually copying all its files to your hard disk to make sure it's readable.

These are the backups. How do I know if it is readable? When I open my computer and the disc is loaded, it doesnt show that it is loaded. It does not have a name: LINKS 2003. It just says D: CD-RW.

Then that second disc is a bad backup. Try it in another pc, but it looks like you'll have to copy it again. I'd advise Alcohol120% for copying.

I copied it twice, is there any other reason for it now working? Or should I just try it again?

Well, does the original cd work ? If it does, you're using the wrong technique or program to copy. Like I said, if the original cd works, try Alcohol120% to make a new backup. Maybe use a cdrw, so you can experiment without making more coasters. The important thing is making sure the original (still) works before attempting to make a backup.

Yes the originial works. I just burned another coaster. Why is disc 1 working, but disc 2 is not?

Disc 2 is probably protected. What program did you use to copy disc 2 ? I'm recommending Alcohol120% for a reason, you know...

Well, I'm stumped. I have no idea what is causing this to happen. And disc 2 can't by read by any means ? Not in another pc ? Sheesh this is weird. OK, the only thing you can still try is using a crack and copying the files on cd 2 manually to the hard disk, then making a compilation cd with Nero. As long as you can copy the files to the hard disk, this should work too. But I don't know whether there's a crack available already. I'm going to get some sleep let's see if your little problem looks a little less enigmatic tomorrow

Were you able to copy all files of cd 2 to the hard disk ? Write down the volume label too. You can now use Nero Burning Rom to make a compilation cd, just put those hard disk files in it, the same ways as on the original (same directories etc, same volume label). Then add a "Crack" directory to that compilation, and put the links 2003 nocd in that directory, so you can copy it over the installed one after you install. If you have a cdrw, write it to that to test it, otherwise you'll have to risk making a coaster. After burning, test the new installation. If all goes well, the game will be installed and you will only have to copy that crack in the Crack directory to overwrite the same named file in the game directory on the hard disk, this is to disable the copy protection.

A bin is useless unless you know its good (you're having problems with the bin you made, so its useless). Copy the files off your original CD to hard drive.
