External or NO Solder Modchip!!!

Hi,

I am just wondering, is there a good and reliable external modchip for PS2 V7 USA for playing only CD-R and DVD-R back up games. I am not worried about the watching DVD's. Thanks.

Use the search engine, alot has been argued about the no solder mods, most of us use one of the no swap chips. They cost a little more but are well worth it.

NO... There isn't......

As Warlock said... Pay the extra for a "direct boot" chip such as the Messiah 2.... It definately PAYS for itself in the long run....

As I am very new to this, don't put much weight into what I say. However, I do have a no solder chip, and it is working pretty good. I have made backups of my gta3 and nascar thunder using the info found on this site. I presume that you, like I, don't have the skills to solder in a chip. If I did, or knew someone who could, that is what I would have done.
