which has more backup success: magic3/Messiah 2?

i'm still considering on purchasing one of these 2 for my vers 4 ps2. i just purchased a pioneer A05. i appreciate your advice.

i just went to IGW. and from what i read, the magic 3.1 doesn't state anything about dv9 support. only the messiah2 mentions it. what do y'all think about that?

Magic 3.1 does have more succes at booting DVD9 games the magic 3. It still does not boot 100%. From my experience messiah 2 boots DVD9 100%, so long as you have a good laser.

If you don't want to worry about having any problems, get a Messiah 2.

I think bighap knows his ****.
I never every head of a Magic Chip wrecking the laser, you must be thinking of the Neo 4 and Neo 2.2 Chips.

Has any1 on this forum had a Magic wreck there laser?

Never heard of such a thing. Even took the time to do a web search and searched a very good forum I know of and found no good evidence that magic chips will damage your laser.
