Lightbulb Mini DvD's Cubed

have a question, someone months ago replied that they used a regular cd and cut it to a mini cd to try it on the gamecube, and they said it still works like a regular mini cd on their computer, if a blank dvd is not too expensive for someone, can maybe try cutting a blank dvd into a mini dvd ?? or maybe cutting it after it has the information on dvd and trying it on the Cube.

Let me know if any resoults when trying this........

I have seen 8cm mini dvd's for sale. For camera's i believe. They are a bit costley still.
I assume if someone used a wood circler drill bit, just over 3 inches...perfectly centered. It would work.
But being shure you do not "overburn" the limit is very important. Since the writer would see the dvd as 4.7gigs. Even with it cut down to 1.4gigs.

Yeah, the trouble here is that we know very little about the actual format/size of GC games, in general.

Lightbulb Sony Announces Playstation Portable

Widescreen, backlit PSP handheld to debut in 2004

At Sonys pre-E3 press conference on May 13, the company shocked the industry with the announcement of a new handheld system to challenge the Game Boy Advance. The new unit, called the PSP (PlayStation Portable), will be released in 2004 in honor of the 10th anniversary of the original PlayStation. Ken Kutaragi, president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc., made the announcement himself and dubbed it "The Walkman of the 21th Century."
Commonly referred to as "the father of the PlayStation,"Kutaragi said, "There's a new member of the family, and it's not the PlayStation 3. The baby is still in the incubator, but as the father, i can look in the window and see his face, and he is very cute."
Featuring a widescreen (16:9) backlit 4.5 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 480 X 272 pizels, the PSP will support 3D polygon graphics, 3D curved surfaces, and the MPEG-4 video codec. The machine will use a new disc format called Universal Media Disc (UMD), a prototype of which was shown by Kutaragi during the presentation. The optical, cartridge-encased disc will be 60 millimeters- half the physical size of a DVD but acapable of holding 1.8 GB of data, three times the storage capacity of a CD-ROM.
The entire unit will be built on a single-chip solution, so one processor will control the graphics, sound, and input/output. It will feature built-in stereo speakers, a stereo headphone jack, and a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. The PSP will also support USB 2.0 for connecting with other PSPs as well as PCs and the PlayStation 2.

Umm no

cutting a dvd would not work unless you could get the EXACT size of a mini dvd, you gotta just buy a mini dvd not a mini cd
