Sony DVD Writers

I've been scanning numerous forums and have found out that Sony DVD Writers (DRU-500A & DU-10A) work better if they are jumpered as the secondary drive. Example: Ritek media will burn at 2x rather than 1x.

Has anyone else heard of this.

I've answered my own question.

Burning totally screwed up when Sony set to secondary drive.

Reverted back to master drive, everything OK again.

My DW-U10A has been flashed to a DRU-500A so Ritek media is OK anyway.
