Unhappy Help With No-Solder ModChip Version 7- I Think I freid it

After I re-installed my no solder Version 7 modchip, The power wouldn't come on. When i initially installed the no-solder, the power turn on and I can play my ORIGINAL PS2 Games, but when i try loading the MAGIC2 DVD Disc and The DVD-R, it just gives me a twilight screen with a pink outline. I thought maybe I installed the cable wrong, so I flipped the big cable over, there are two cables, and installed plugged it in. AFter I plugged in the power cord, I couldn't turn on the system. Could Flipping the cable cause my PS2 to die? If not are there any suggestions to fixing my PS2? I don't smell any thing burnt

Help Appreciated, Thanks

I'm not an expert... just a guess here...

Did you try flipping the cable over again? I think you had the cables right the first time around because you could see the twlight screen with the red border.

If that works, then your problem probably is either 1) the CD or DVD you are using is bad, or 2) you didn't hold down the eject button until the tray opens when swapping discs. Those are usually the reasons for a red border.

Reinstalled everything as normal, before the modchip, but still no power. I think flipping the cable might have burnt my playstation. Could that be the problem?

I checked around other boards and it seems that alot of people are having this problem with a no-mod chip.
