yo dude
i think my x2 is messed up
i soldered it fine
i did the header pin
i started on the d0 point
both top and bottom
and the eject button: is first flashing a bit of green, then stops, and does that a couple more times, then stops, then starts with red and green flashing... u got any as to whats goin on and what i should do

so far ive moddded xboxes with:
2 Matrixes
3 Xbits

My xbox!:
-250 gig
-XBIT
-4981.06 x2
-orange led for light, matching beautifully with the orange x in the splash screen
-Component cable

my problem...solved?!:
-one of my friends says he can get about 450 files off it!... and now i havent seen him for about 4 months..and ive written him like 11 emails.. WHERE THE HELL IS HE?! :mad:

My only guess is that one of your points aren't touching. I only have the x-ecuter 1, but that happened to me a couple times. Re-soldering was the answer. Also, do you have the lite or pro?

As for PM's, it should work. I deleted everything. And if a mod sees this then feel free to rename the topic to something else, as I don't have experiance in using the x-ecuter 2.

I was having that problem with one I installed for a freind. The chip may be shorting out on the case.

Yeah if you set the chip up to high it xould make contact with the metal on the xbox and short out.

Just remove the chip and reposition it so that it sits down below the dvd drive. Also make sure when you move it that there aren't any holes in the tape. The back of the chip could short and you would be in the same boat.
