audio cd to kodak CD-R Ultima 80 skipping

I need some help on copying an audio cd to kodak cd-r Ultima 80 gold

I use a scsi plextor 12/10/32s with the Plextor UltraPlex 40x

It keeps jumping ive tried reducing the speed to 1x

ive used nero 5.5.90 easy cd creator platinum and plextools

im on xp should i change discs although kodak gold are good for data
