Patching games with XPS patch

I am trying to copy DDR 2nd Remix and it has a XPS patch. I tried using the program that is on XPS Executable, but i can't get it to work. Is there any other way that i can patch it? I know how with PPF-o-Matic, but the XPS Executable is complicated. Please help me!!!!

what problems are you having with XPS ?

I've never used this before, but I imagine it works something like this: -

Use CDRWin to create bin image (game.bin) on your harddrive in a folder (ie C:\Game)

Copy the game.xps patch and the XPS executable file to that same folder with the bin file.

Open a MS-DOS command prompt (Start>Run>"cmd.exe")

Make working directory the one where the files are (eg C:\Game)
by cd c:\Game

Command XPS game.xps game.bin

Fingers crossed it should work

after it has said the program has finished, burn the patched bin image back to CD-R

cant see why it shouldn't work

it doesnt work cause it wont even let me type anything is the DOS-promt. It just opens a dos promt and has the XPS Executable written on the top and when you try to type the stuff to load the files, it says program is finished. THen it tells you to exit it.

Wait man...

What do you understand when someone says "Open the program in a MS-DOS shell"???

You must

1) open the MS-DOS shell (START -> programs-> MS-DOS shell or so)

2) To simplify the question, copy the interested files in c:\ before doing in step 1)

3) Type "cd\" to go to C:\ root (you might start in c:\windows: if wrong, go manually to c:\ typing "cd c:\")

4) THEN type what the moderator just suggested you: command patch.xxx file.bin

5) Complete!

Obtaining your previous results, you maybe double-clicked the .exe file in Windows... God, the Windows generation...

Note: if what I wrote is a river of shit, just excuse me!
