magic 3 want messiah

i have a magic 3 in my ps2 now. I am having problems with it. I want to switch to a messiah 2. Will that be a hard task? Do some of the wires go to the same spots on ps2 (so i dont have to go near the board again) Also where can i get one?

Shouldn't be a problem as long as you/the installer are/is careful.

You can buy a Messiah 2 through Charlie_ps2 or dust2dust of this forum, e-mail them.

You current problem, is that for all (originals + backups) or just backups? If just backups, what media are you using?

Sounds like u have a prob with ur machine not the chip m8. Before spending any more cash uninstall the chip to see if ur machine still works fine.

Re-check all of your solder points. Sounds like you have some points bridged or soldered to the wrong spot. Its likely that its not the chips fault BUT the install is at fault...

well i got it working and the games have beeen playing great... up untill i tried Gta Vice city. Now im pissed........... Ok i had my chip installed by someone because i am not an expert at the soldering. If i get the messiah2 are there a lot more soldier points than the magic 3... Im not scared to soldier around the chip. its the ps2 that i dont want to go near. I guess my question is. Are any of the solder points the same, so i dont have to go to the board too much.

Also has there been any type of fix for the recent frezing with the magic 3 chip. is there anything i can do?

A fix has been made, but thats in the name of magic3.1 which would be a replacement for your mod.> not an upgrade.

I'm sure you can find someone to uninstall your magic 3 and replace it with messiah 2 (thats what i recommend) but obviously it's gonna cost you more money!
