DVD2AVI > MyDVD > ac3 ?! > (no wav output anymore)

I'd like to back up my movie Ice Age. Identical problems were encountered with this movie as were with Resident Evil.

Using smartRipper 2.41, I extracted all vob files. There were five in total - the first vob plays back fine. The rest do not have any audio. This problem was solved in smartRipper adjusting options under the TAB streamProcessing.

Now on to DVD2AVI. At the end of this program run, I am used to having a d2v and wav file. With the current movie there is no wav only an ac3 file. I can convert the ac3 to wav, but what ever happened to the normal outputted wav file?

why do you want to convert to wav ? the whole idea of dvd is to have digital quality and you want to down sample a perfectly good ac3 file to wav

I'm not doing a dvd copy but a conversion from dvd to svcd using then tmpgenc, tmpgenc requires an audio file and wont accept ac3.
