what do you mean by no effect? Do you get the dashboard to show up? Do originals work? Elaborate...

Also some problems.

I put in my chip a few minutes ago and when I tried out the XBox it turns on, flashes green for a few seconds then shuts off and then on again and repeats. Also, when I turn it off, the XBox sits there as if it was just turned on and then finally shuts off. Any suggestions at all would be much appreciated. Thanks alot.

Jake

Jake, one of your solder points are not connected. If you put the x-ecutor on the xbox then just filled up the holes, I suggest that you melt the solder and stick a wire through, so you know it's touching. Also, check the soldering around the screw.

Thanks alot, I'll try that now. With the screw solder, what am I looking for? Just that its touching the board? Thanks again.

Also, make absolutely sure that all of the ground points (black pieces of plastic that the board sits in top) aren't covered. These are grounding points and need to be touching the bottom of the case. If anything (like tape) is covering these, you will have power problems and will get a black screen with the power going on and off and may hear a pop every few seconds
