region changing on V7 (pal)

I have been using the old AR2 v2 (version 2.2) to switch regions on my V1 Pal console in the past and that worked fine.
I tried to use the same AR2 and dongle on my V7 and it doesent recognise the newer dvd drivers.

what do I need?

the V7 is chipped with magic 2 so maby a back-up of the newer AR2?

Ta,

Elkay
