Operation flashpoint protection true ?

Ive heard rumours about the OF protection will make burned cd get almost corrupt after a while.
Or the game will be unplayable,

Is there any truth in this rumours ?

1. Nothing can make your CD corrupt...only a sharp scratch!

2. Depends on who you speak to about "FADE". Personally, I think it's a marketing tool to scare peeps into avoiding copies. If it bothers you that much, use the crack from GCW and you'll get no trouble.

Actually in European version (allthough i've in my v.) the FADE is very true after you upgrade to version 1.10.
v110 also adds never version of safediscv2.

Im not sure about the original version of ofp. Problems with that could caused by some serious bugs but after you upgrade it definately fades out...

Only solution is to dump the game by using right kind of hardware so you can clone the cd.
Example my Plex24x can dump safedisc v2 correctly. Writer must support correct EFM encoding.

If you use crack for ofp FADE will activate.
