Magic 2 with Gameshark

I searched on the web site for the info on magic 2 with gameshark, i got mixed response for that. and I called gamegizmo.com for the usage of magic 2 with gameshark, they said only orginals can be coded with gameshark. since i dont have dvd-r backups with me now, can someone tell me magic 2 works with gameshark on V7 PS2 for backups or not? if it does, how do you make it work? Thanks.

Andy

It depends on which Magic 2 you have. The green one doesnt support gameshark or action replay

Question

i have a Game Shark CDX for the psx. Does it supposed to work with the red Magic 2 on a 30001-R ps2? The reason that I ask is when I try to use the GS CDX disk the screen will move extremely slow like it is stuck. I cant get it to work with the codes either. Everything else on the ps2 works fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. dano

Read the description again."It boots any import or backup (CD-r, DVD-r) without swap method and without the help of an Action Replay 2 or Gameshark 2" It is just saying you dont need a GS2 or AR2 to boot games.

Dano.... The problem is most likely because you are using a PS1 GS instead of a GS2.

For the avoidance of doubt:

The Genuine Magic 2 (released late Summer 2002) supports GS2 with codes on backups when the Z wire is installed.

What colour Magic 2? Dunno with all the clones about! SO Gamegizmo have to be asked whether or not their Magic 2 is Clone or Genuine. If Clone, then when Z is connected the disk tray won't close.

Then i think gamegizmo still has the old version of magic 2, cuz i asked them "does your magic 2 support gs 2 on backups?" they said "only originals"

there r 4 connection points on the magic 2 clone, will that be possible that only one of four will work with gs2 on backups when connected to Z?

I'd prefer not to receive in PM the same question that you post. It puts me to twice the trouble and it's not fair. The forum is the place for these questions and I don't want to be treated as someone's servant by being pushed with PMs.

Sorry to be stern with you but I'm sure you understand the point.
