Combo

What do you fellas think about the no soulder and boot disc combo I mean for somebody who doesn't have a lot of money or esperience what are my limitations with this setup and if I install the modchip will I have to use the boot disc with originals

I don't guess its a BAD setup.... Although you may want to consider the price of EVERYTHING you need...

No-Solder mod- $25-$30
Gameshark 2 -$40-$50
Original game w/high TOC $50

Total: $115-$130

Then look at the price for a Messiah 2 setup:

Messiah 2- $68.00
Install -$60.00
Shipping- $15.00

Total: $143.00

Not a really BIG price difference....

And the no swap chips are SO MUCH SIMPLIER......

Be sure to buy a GS2 or Ar2 instead of the boot magic disc. My understanding is they DONT boot all backups like they claim.

the reason I was asking was becasue gamegizmo has a combo for like 35 bucks it looked pretty good Idano Im still debating.
I don't have a dvd burner would it at least let me play psx games with out swapping or is that a pain to. also does swapping with a boot disc damage your ps2 after a while.

yes it plays psx direct boot, also gameshark is $30(new) so thats not bad

It doesnt boot PSX titles direct boot, You must use the PSX gameshark.
