psx_paul is on a distinguished road
cheap media, never the best

You are in UK so go for Traxdata DVD-R from www.bigpockets.co.uk or www.blankdiscshop.co.uk

Traxdata used by many on this forum (me & dust to name 2) with 100% success rate. And they are cheaper than Verbatim etc.

dude
this is my experience.
about 6 months ago i bought 25 traxdata dvd-r discs to back up my dvd's and ps2 games out of these 12 discs failed mid burn. the ones which burned all the way through played ok but that experience just put me off this perticular brand. i don't know it's possible i just got a rare duff batch. since then i have tried several brands and personally found that the bulkpaq generation 4 discs beet them all. out of 250 dvd movie and ps2 backups i have only lost one mid burn. i may try traxdata in the future but for now i'm happy with what i am using. i have also been experimenting with bulk paq on my xbox and so far everything works ok.
