GTA3 problems with video memory

I have a 64 mb video card, but GTA3 tells me I need at least 12 free megs to run. Any suggestions? I was wondering if I could bypass this check anyway, if you know of one. Or, how I could free up some memory for it.

What's your vram aperature set to in your bios?
