Smile oem version?

im looking to buy a pioneer dvr105 i have seen a oem version wich says has no cables or software i have no probs with the lack of software but are the cables needed and if so why are they not supplied? any help would be great also ive found a retail version but its 60 quid more is this worth getting instead of the oem?

Some people already have a cable or an extra end hanging in their computer to daisy chain. If you dont have a cable and dont care about not getting software or screws just go buy an IDE cable.
