half life/opforce/blueshift
with version 1.1.0.8 do i need the cd to run half life? if not, is there a no-cd or fixed exe for them?

No, you don't need the cdrom in the drive, only if you want to hear the cd audio music in half life itself, otherwise it'll work perfectly without cd. I haven't tested blueshift though, that's standalone and MIGHT include a copy protection. I'm too tired right now to find out, but if you really need an answer I'll reinstall it tomorrow and check. zzzzzzzzzz....
