Copying a DVD so I can play it on my PS2

What Program do u use to copy a DVD so it will work on my PlayStation 2? Also what kind of disc should i use? Im guessing Im not gonna use a normal CD-R or RW.

To copy a DVD-rom PS2 game you will need to find Charlies Primo guide in this forum. PrimoDVD is the best program to backup PS2 games.

Are you talking about a DVD movie, or a PS2 DVD game?

For movies: You will need a dvd burner. You will need DVD Decrypter, Infoedit, and Primo DVD.

For PS2 games: You will need a dvd burner, and Primo DVD.

Ok.... Then you will need what I stated above....

For movies: You will need a dvd burner. You will need DVD Decrypter, Infoedit, and Primo DVD (or RecordNow Max).

Ok BG, can you use smart ripper to rip the movies onto hard disk?
and if you have the movie ripped, can you then directly burn onto another DVD media? Will it work?

Another thing i forgot to mention, when you use dvd decryptor, this program decrypts the movies, right? So the protectyion is then cracked? Or do we have to manually crack after that and then burn to DVD media?

thanks mate.

I'm sure you PROBABLY can use smartripper.... I don't use it, so I cant tell you 100% for sure....
As far as burning "directly" EXACTLY what do you mean?

DVD Decrypter just rips the dvd to the hard drive. I use IFOEDIT to remove macrovision, make region free, and all of the unwanted material....

Then burn to dvd....

USE:

-SmartRipper or DVD Decrypter to extract files to HD
-IFOedit to strip and remove extra audio/subtitles, if desired
-Nero, STOMP, or Primo to burn VIDEO_TS folder to DVD-R

you need to go to places like vcdhelp.com, doom9.net and adfterdawn forums to get some good guides.

When you burn with Primo..... If you ONLY burn the VIDEO_TS folder, it will play in the PS2 no problem....BUT it will give trouble is some stand-alone players....
For maximum compatibility, create a AUDIO_TS folder (note:it will be EMPTY) and

BURN the VIDEO_TS & the empty AUDIO_TS to dvd-r....
