Mods and DVD movie playback

Do most XBOX modchips disable region settings for DVD movie playback? I won't waste my money on the DVD kit since I have 3 other DVD players unless they do. Thanks.

If you have 3 other dvd players, than you shouldn't get the dvd kit. But with a program call DVD-x that allows you to play dvd's without the dvd kit. But you need a modchip to install it.

You need a chip to load the DVD-x software.
