how do i tunr or dma on xp

i have a pioneer dvr-104 how do i turn of the dma for this drive and why do i need to .i use xp home on my computer

I have the a04 and xp and i haven't had to turn anything on or off.
What is the problem that you are having???
Supply a bit more detail and maybe someone can help.

u will need to know which atapi controller it is on
normally its on the secondary master(0)

go into device manager
ata/atapi controllers
double click secondary
there u go u have your dma settings
