There's a patch for Ikaruga so its runs at 60 Hz.
It's name is "adr-ika.zip".
I need someone who could spread it...

Or try this :
_ open the image (or 1st_read.bin) with an hex editor
_ look for "0B 42 09 00 01 1F 0C 84"
_ change it by "0B 42 09 00 01 1F 30 E0"

I think it might work if you only do that, but if it doesn't :
_ look for "63 74 20 31 32 20 32 30 30 30 20 31 39 3A 32 30"
_ and change it by "00" until "69 6E 00 53 45 4C 45 43 54 2E 70 76 72 00 00"
==> 255796 bytes !

Hi Megalexxx, the patch worked. I just replaced
"0B 42 09 00 01 1F 0C 84"
with
"0B 42 09 00 01 1F 30 E0"
and it worked fine.

I would also like the 60Hz Patch please. A link or in an email.

At least Ikaruga is still good at 50Hz. The boarder are very small and I don't think I can notice any speed decrease when compared to playing it at 60Hz(On a VGA Box).

Does anyone else agree?

Now all we need is 60Hz patches for Garou & KoF2K. These games should be played 60Hz on a TV, not a monitor.

first of all, thanks to everybody for posting this

playing around with the code posted by Megalexxx I found that the same code will also fix the following games (make them run at 60 Hz):

Mark Of The Wolves
Space Channel 5 Part 2
Sakura Wars 4

I don't have KOF 2K to test it, but I think it is highly likely it will work there also

Have you checked your games are really running 60 Hz ?
I mean, finding this code doesn't mean it will work the same way on other games...
