benq writer and windows xp pro

Can anyone advise me on this problem i have just got a new pc with windows xp pro installed it has come with a Benq crw 3210 cd writer but it does not seem to work with clone cd it wont back up safe disk games 1 used to have a hp 9100 running with windows me and never had any problems is it this benq writer or windows xp if it is the cdr writer which is best writer to get to back up my safe disc games. Clone does not seem to read discs it will back up files with easy cd creator but of course this is no good for protected games , please can anyone help me

what writing mode do u use cloncd list it as raw16 dao only
this will give u problems

that shouldnt give a problem for safedisc 1 games, though. the only requirement for safedisc 1 is raw reading, i think. its been so long since i've backed up a safedisc 1 disc. check your hardware profile, and make sure the benq isnt a rebadge of another manufacturers drive. maybe that will help ? not sure.
