Still can't copy Evolution x!!!

I read most of the posts on XBOX backups. I went out and bought expensive Memorex DVD-RW's and TDK CDK CD-RW's and STILL NOTHING. I can't copy any ISO's to any media and get it to play on the XBOX. I am recording at 1x speeds on many different formats DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD-R and CD-RW and media types Samsung, Memorex, CompUSA, TDK, Aterra, generic brands too on both my Pioneer A04 DVD burner and Plextor 40/12/40A CD burner.

The XBOX says it can not recognize the media. I have an Enigma X modchip. Is there anyway to verify that it even works??

Please help!!!!!!!!!!

The best way to test is to burn music on a dvdr-dvdrw-cdr-cdrw,which ever one you have, and if your Xbox reads and plays the music, then that brand should work for all of your backup
needs. Hope this helps

Burning ?

When you are burning, are you making sure you are burning using the UDF standard, and that joliet is disabled ?

These setting can be found in most burning packages....

Well I'm using the Pioneer A03 and had no problems with anything i've burnt.

1) Forget CD-R they don't work. Just use CD-RW, DVD-R and DVD-RW and you won't go wrong

To burn EvoX using Nero:
1) goto File Burn Image
2) Select the EvoX ISO
3) Then Click The Foreign Image Tab. Although the Options Are Grayed they Should read:
Type Of Image: Data Mode 1
Block Size: 2048
Everything else should be unchecked and 0's
4) Now click the Burn Tab and check:
Write: Checked
Finalize CD: Checked
Write Mothod: Track at Once
5) Now click write and you have a sucessfull EvoX image

If this doesn't work then your Enigmah is not installed properley. I also have the Enigmah and had a simlar problem and when re-checked some of the solder points were a bit dodgy. Which version of the Enigmah are you using? as there are two different diagrams one for the Final and the other for Final PCB Fix which I'm using. Hope this helps you.

Evolution X is working!!!! (Finally)

I finally went back to Funcoland and got another XBOX. I soldered back in my Enigma chip and it worked for Memorex DVD-RW with Evolution X ISO burned. Now I have to figure out how to talk to the XBOX.

Many thanks to all that helped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found one item in possible error that may have been the culprit with my original XBOX not being able to see EVOLUTION X on it was the solder pad on the Enigma itself may have been soldered for the wrong kernal. I found that I soldered it originally for 3944 and it should have been 4034.

All is working - Once again thanks to all !
