SoF 2: Double Helix - installation problems after cloneCD copy

I have just made copies of SoF2 cd1 and cd2. But when I try to install the game it just takes a VERY long time, and it seems like it freezes a couple of times during the installation process, but continues again. The installatinon process finaly ends, but I am unable to start the game, says: "cant load cfg pk3", or something like that.

When I checked the sof2\base folder a couple of the files there where to small. So I tried to manually copy these files from the copied cds. And everytime I did this it locked up halfway.

Here comes the funny bit. When I tried to manually copy the same files from the original cds it worked.... even though they are all the same size.

Installing the game from original cds are ok, but I would like to have a working copy just in case.

My cloneCD img file sizes are: cd1 602312kb, cd2 764649kb
If I get the message "Failed to read Sector....." is that bad... can it be fixed..

When I tried copying with the default cloneCD game option I didnt get any "failed.." message

Can anyone help???

A bad copy was made - has nothing to do with the copy protection. Make another copy and don't use 'on the fly'. Maybe slow down the read and write

You need to read at 4x for that game
