ASPI problem

hello everyone,

i have windows 2000 and a PANASONIC / MATSUSHITA CW-7502

i recently installed cdrwin and i get an error regarding not being able to initialize the aspi driver/manager.. so i checked out microsoft and they referred me to adaptec which claimed that they don't support aspi under w2k.. so my question is

how do i get cdrwin to work with my burner/OS ?

Go to the www.goldenhawk.com site.

Download the LSI ASPI layer and execute the downloaded file. CDR-WIN will pick up the aspi layer when you've done that.

Many of us did miss that one. CDR-WIN worked fine on one of my PCs and I don't recall installing the ASPI layer - but I must have at some time. So when I put CDR-WIN onto the other PC I was surprised to find the problem. So I looked up the word "ASPI" on the Forum and bingo. Pleased to have helped.

Incidentally CloneCD and Nero aren't bothered about the ASPI layer.
