Ricoh MP7083A is this one ok?

Due to availability and price, I'm looking at the Richo MP7083A, it seems to be listed on cloneCD, but finding it hard to chk if this model does "it all", (such as RAW data and sub channel)
It will be used for psx backups and other pc backups.
Does anyone know of any probs, or any other info on this CDRW?

Note- this is my first CDRW, have been researching it a fair bit, but finding it hard to get info on this model.
also If anyone knows of another CDRW available in Australia which does the same or better job (for around the same price), would appreciate the info too
