Playing VCDs on DC

I've read the instructions on how to do this, but am having no luck so far. I have the boot disk (or what I think is a boot disk). I put in the "boot disk" and once it loads it says on the screen "Utopia" in green and "loader v 1.1" in white and "please insert disk in pink". There is also a reindeer that is floating around. I then take that disk out and put in the movie I want to watch and nothing happens. Do I have to burn something else to the cd-r besides the movie? I tried to burn the contents of the gypplay directory to the cd-r as well and it won't work because the files/folder are not .mpg or .mpeg formats. Please help cuz I know that I am so close. Thanks in advance.
