Boot Disc And Modchips
I went to psxcopyworld and downloaded import player light and it said ImportPlayer Light is an utility that allows you to play PlayStation games from all regions, even protected games or games in a different video mode than the one your TV uses.
This version fixes some bugs in the older versions and adds some features such as in-game screen positioning (press L1+L2+R1+R2 & use the directional buttons) and support for PSX games on PS2 (in PSOne mode only). It does not include Game Cheats but it includes an Anti-Mod & Anti-AR killer to bypass Mod-Chip Protections & Action-Replay checks so I was wondering if it bypasses modchip protection I shouldn't need one so also when I downloaded it I got 2 files .bin and .cue I went into cdrwin and I could add the .cue file but how do I add the .bin file I have discjuggler, clonecd, cdrwin can you tell me which one I should use and how to do this problem also after I get help and burn the boot disc I should be able to play backups without having to buy a mod chip right or do I need to buy a mod chip |

Hi M8ty
Backitup is absolutley correct m8,you will need a chip to play burned discs no matter wot they are. The reason being in simple terms:- The psx laser reads from the absolute centre of the disc, and thats where the boot commands are pressed. Conventional cdr/rw or dvd pc readers donot read from that position so the boot section is ommited. So basically all the original boot disc or a psx chip does is move the psx laser to the start position for the game which is where the cdr/rw writes the game when you back it up. Hope this helps |
