U can program ur own chip???

http://www.micro-direct.co.uk/pic2pic.php
it says that u can programm ur own chip or copy the source from other chip
is that really true??
I think it's quite cool
Now maybe people would say I need a backup for my mod chip because I might ruin my modchip during installing

Of corse someone have programmed the chips you can buy in a store... so technically you can program one yourself... but you do need some skills in programming...

certain chips like NEO2.2 have a very easy technoligy, and you can download the hex code for that chip and make one yourself... but i wouldn't recommend it.... after what ive heard its a terrible chip, and you do of corse need a burner for your PIC cercuit...

go and buy a messiah 2 pro...

Any of these chips can be programmed.

First you need to go buy a (very expensive) EEPROM programmer.

Then you need to go get some schooling in Electrical/Computer Engineering, and it probably takes a PhD just to RUN the damn thing (I'm exaggerating for effect, of course).

Then you need a Hexdump of the chip in question.

Then you need to know how to program IC's.

Simple, huh?

Oh, and don't forget that if you mess it up, you'll fry your PS2.
