Splinter Cell Patch needed

Does anyone know if there's a splinter cell protection patch out yet. I've search over and over and found nothing.

Yes, I believe bighap is not-so-subtly tooting his own horn here, since he discovered an excellent method for forcing this game to boot, even with an Apple or Magic chip.

just finished cooking a fresh backup of Splinter Cell onto Nanya dvd-r media without a patch and it works mighty fine

I really don't think it has anything to do with the kind of media that you use to burn your DVD-R... It has more to do with the mod-chip.

I have a PS2 V7 with a HK-Messiah2 chip. Everyone with the HK chip will have the same problem.

You also said that you burned without a patch, is there a patch out there ?

i havent heard of any patch circulating the net...

No patch is necessary. You have yet to describe your problem, but try the method I posted here.(7th post down)

Yeah, it happened to me too

its definitely mod problem, you must be using earlier version than v5 and use crap chip not using messiah 2 PRO/EUR or DMS3 ?? am I right???

if so, well get the best one...., but I dont know if someone has some kind like patch to do it, splinter cell is not the only one though... if you've ever played Max payne you notice it will be the same thing happening...
