My Plextor can read the errors in a few seconds - other drives like your, take longer.

However, there is a solution, download Daemon Tools >> www.daemon-tools.net << and then read it's online manual. Near the bottom of the manual it will explain how to use it's Fast Dump feature. This should make the errors read in a few seconds.
