Help burning for newbie

Have patience with me I am new at this burning thing. I am trying to make a copy of The Diablo 2 Expansion. I have read most posts here and tried your suggestions but even though I am getting further every time I'm still not there. I have tried cdrwin, clony with clone cd still with no result. This CD I believe is protected by Securom. I have a NEC NR 7700 website is here http://www.necd.de/engw/index.htm. For I have read the specs but it is greek to me.

Does anyone have a way to do this? Or at least to tell me I am wasting my time. Thank you for all your help

You shouldn't have any problems as long as you follow these guidelines, as your burner can handle securom2

1. Use CloneCD and tick read from data subchannel
2. Nowt ticked in read.

Make sure you run and install from a cdrom, and not a burner, as securom2 checks the ATIP of a cdr to see if it's pressed or a cdr/cdrw.
If you don't have a separate cdrom, then install daemon tools to fool the protection.
