Ps2 V1 with Messiah 2

I took someones advice here and contacted one of the companies that install Modchips. They have great prices and I talked to them on the phone last night and they seemed pretty knowledgable. One moral question.......

They sell premodded ps2's for about $360.00

They also sell Messiah 2 chips installed and includes shipping back to me for $69.00.

I could just send in my v1 I think or if the V1 doesn't work, just buy a new one from walmart and send it in. Is there any advantage to the first. I emailed them and they said it would not be a problem, but I was just wondering. It looks like I could save $100 buy just buying the ps2 myself, but I wan't sure if there was a catch, like warranty or something. Thanx all for listening...

Oh yeah........I figured out another trick instead of modding your Ps2. It does involve me standing on my head naked while eating a PBJ sandwhich and humming to the tune of Old Man River...... Usually I play by myself.....None of my friends come over anymore....hehe

I find it VERY hard to beleive that they will sell you the Messiah 2 AND install it AND ship it back to you for $69.00.....
I would CHECK them out thoroghly before doing anything......
Most everybody charges around the $60.00 dollar range JUST to install......

As far as the V1..... Don't waste your time..... Get another PS2..... The V1's laser were very crappy..... Much better off just getting another one instead....
