These are the things you need to burn selfbooters:
The rar gxxe files that you downloaded.
Winrar, to unrar the files.
DiscJuggler, to burn the image that you get from the rar files.

First unrar the files with winrar(The resulting file for a selfbooter will be in CDI format, .cdi).

Next, open dj and select cd image to cd.
In the source field, click the icon on the left to browse your HD for the location of the .cdi file.
Once you have found it, click on it and hit ok. Back in DJ, under the source box, there should be some information telling you how much time in minutes the cdi image will take up on the cd.
The time should be anywhere between 72 and 74 min.

Open up your burner and put a blank disc in, but don't shut the bay door. In the destination box, hold down the ctrl key while clicking on the icon on the left of the box. The bay door will shut, and dj will verify that you have a blank disc in the burner. Once dj has verified this,
some information about the disc shoul popup below the list of burners that you have.
It should say something like; blank cd, 1 session, 0 tracks, or something like that.
When this is done the start button should become ungreyed and ready.

Before you hit start, you may want to adjust some of the settings
(most of the settings will be set by the cdi image, so you won't have to worry about them,)
like the burn speed, and the test/write/verify settings.
To be safe, most of the people say to put the burn speed at 1x,
and the t/w/v to "test and if ok write."
Personally though, I leave my burn speed at 4x and my t/w/v to "write."

Once you have the settings where you want them, click on the start button and relax.

Note: If the selfboot is one of the more recent releases by echelon,
you may run into a situation where the first session track is too small (4 sec or less,)
and will cause you to get buffer-underruns (you can tell this by looking in the white diagnostic box at the bottom of DJ). If this happens, you can use cdirip and burn the game with cdrwin, fireburner
